Recruiting - AKA Death by a 1000 Paper Clips 🤦‍♀️😧

It’s really exciting and yes, there are some athletes who, just a few days into officially being able to be recruited are announcing their decisions. I get asked a lot, “How is that possible when recruiting for the 2026 class is supposed to start now?” Regardless of sport, those who have been identified by college coaches as “high potentials” (aka hi-po’s) have been getting messages through club coaches that they have interest. So the moment they are officially able to announce, some are ready to make a decision because that has been going on for months.

So what if your athlete isn’t one of those kids whose phone is buzzing incessantly at 12am on June 15th? Is all hope lost? NO. Absolutely not. In fact, that’s were a large majority of athletes are. And there are SO many stories of athletes who have very little to no interest out of high school but end up getting recruited and often times becoming impact players later on.

Perhaps, you’ve heard our story. But if not, both of my sons had zero interest and zero offers as they graduated high school.
